Journalist DaVante Goins will launch UnBossed! Nightly News, a daily show that will stream live weeknights on UnBossed Columbus and will be available on-demand on a multitude of digital platforms, including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, Google Chromecast and more, beginning this coming Monday, January 16th, 2023.
The nightly show will be “powered by Black Columbus” and will incorporate real-time interactions and commentary from viewers as Goins reports on news and current events that are important to people of color, including politics, social justice, sports, education, business, finance, entertainment and pop culture.
The format will feature in-depth discussions and one-on-one interviews with authors, artists, athletes, entertainment personalities, and other top names in education, public policy, and academia from around Black Columbus. In addition,
#UnBossedNightlyNews will hit the road and stream live events across the city and country, such as speeches, rallies, conferences, town halls, and staple entertainment events. “#UnBossedNightlyNews is a black-owned independent news source that will address many of the top stories today that are largely ignored by mainstream media from a black perspective,” said Goins who will produce the show through Ohio's only black-owned news and talk streaming network, UnBossed! Columbus.
“When you look at what’s happening with the state of Black Columbus – too many of our issues are being pushed aside and too many of us are being pushed aside, when we should be front and center. This is about providing a voice for the voiceless in our community.”
