COLUMBUS, OH — Republican Businessman JD Vance pulls out a win over Democrat Congressman Tim Ryan for the US Senate.

This race was one of the most expensive in the state. Vance will be succeeding current retiring Republican Senator Rob Portman.

It’s notable that Ryan tailored his campaign to independents and moderate Republicans, presenting himself as a champion of the working class thus forgetting about the Black Vote.
