Columbus City Councilmember Emmanuel Remy says he has three goals this year to stop youth violence.
Reduce the number of stolen cars
Remy told WCMH-TV reducing these car thefts will be a major step in the mission as he said stealing cars is often a gateway to violent crime.
Get people to put their guns down
He wants people to realize shooting a person is not a way to deal with problems.
Getting everyone to work together and reporting something when you see it.
Youth Engagement Progams
To continue the programs all year long and not just in the summer months.
